Chia-Hung Chung

Chia-Hung Chung (TW), a Taiwanese circus artist, discovered his passion for acrobatics at the age of ten. In 2020, he ventured to Europe, equipped with years of acrobatic experience, focusing on hand-balancing and acro-dance.

After graduating from Ecole Supérieure des Arts du Cirque in 2023, Chia-Hung is currently based in Brussels, Belgium. As a freelancer, he collaborates with not standing, notably contributing to the production of Foreshadow and every_body (new creation premiering in October 2024).

Chia-Hung Chung, Emmi Väisänen, Axel Guérin and Esse Vanderbruggen are, together with Alexander Vantournhout, the core of Not Standing’s artistic team. They have been with the company for several years and created and performed several shows together. They have a deep understanding of Not Standing's movement language and take on different artistic roles— as performers, teachers, rehearsal directors, artistic assistants or even fleet managers. These performers not only embody but also expand and enrich the movement language, contributing to the growth of the artistic Not Standing-universe.
